OSCE to Monitor Contact Line between Azerbaijani and Armenian Troops

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will hold a monitoring exercise on the border of Azerbaijan and Armenia on December 21, 2016, according to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry. In accordance with its mandate, the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office plans to conduct the next monitoring exercise near Azerbaijan's Kazakh region, bordered by Armenia in the northwest.

Jiri Aberle and Simon Tiller, field assistants to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, will carry out the monitoring on the Azerbaijani side. The Armenian side monitoring will be carried out by Ghenadie Petrica, Hristo Hristov and Peter Svedverg, field assistants to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
