The 8th meeting of Azerbaijan-France Intergovernmental Economic Commission convened in Paris, France December 13th.
The participants discussed a wide range of issues related to economic and financial cooperation, including bilateral relations in the areas of energy, transportation, space and information communications and technology, agriculture, and environmental protection, culture, education, youth and sports. The development of trade and economic relations and investment opportunities between Azerbaijan and France was also on the agenda.
The meeting was co-chaired by Samir Sharifov, Azerbaijani Finance Minister and Matthias Fekl, French Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism.
During the visit, Minister Sharifov is expected to meet his counterpart Michel Sapin and attend a number of bilateral meetings.
