The event brought together more than 80 companies from 21 countries, where cutting-edge products were displayed and demonstrated, and participants learned about the potentials of doing business in Turkmenistan in the areas of communications, IT services and broadcasting.
Among the foreign participants were Gilat Satellite Networks, Rohde & Schwarz, THALES, Hermes, Triax, Eastern Wind, AXIS Communications, SICKO, HUAWEI Technologies, SES Broadband Services, Rostelekom, AzerTelecom, Sony Solutions Group, Nokia Siemens Networks, and Tyco Electronics.
NOKIA’s Marketing Director for Central Europe and Central Asia, Stanislav Tokarev, has high praises for the forum.
“Our company has extensive experience of cooperation with Turkmenistan," said Tokarev, according to Turkmenportal. "Here, we work with key telecom operators like Altyn Asyr Closed Joint-Stock Company and state telecommunication company Turkmentelecom.”
"Our cooperation allows us to create good opportunities for the introduction of modern technologies that improve the quality of the services provided," said a representative from NOKIA, the Finnish multinational telecommunications, information technology, and consumer electronics company.
The exhibition has been held annually in Turkmenistan for the past 10 years, becoming a kind of flagship event for the telecom community there. The platform has also become an opportunity for other Caspian region countries, such as Azerbaijan.
AzerTelecom, the backbone internet provider which connects Azerbaijan to the international Internet network, joined the exhibition to introduce its services to local and international companies in Turkmenistan, as well as to expand the company's international relations and cooperation.
“During the exhibition, we exchanged ideas with directors and representatives of various local and foreign companies, discussed future areas of cooperation," AzerTelecom CEO Fuad Allahverdiyev said, according to Trend.
"Participation at the exhibition “Turkmentel 2018” was beneficial for understanding the direction of development of telecommunications and high technologies in Central Asia, creating new partnerships and discussing potential projects," AzerTelecom CEO Fuad Allahverdiyev added.
