Azerbaijan and Turkey Stand Strong on Anti-Terrorism Collaboration

In a meeting with Umit Yalchin, Turkey’s deputy foreign minister on December 21th, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov highlighted the joint anti-terrorism collaboration of Azerbaijan and Turkey as significant in the ongoing global threat of terrorism.

Cooperation and mutual support of the two nations under international organizations were praised in the light of growing relationship. Both, Baku and Ankara, are pleased with the seminal development of bilateral ties encouraged by strong brotherhood and friendship, strategic partnership and cooperation. 

Reiterating, Mammadyarov conveyed his deepest condolences and sympathy to Turkish people and leadership over the recent horrific terror acts in Turkey.

Yalchin, in turn, delivered his gratitude for Azerbaijan’s firm stance over the recent terror incidents in Turkey.

Azerbaijan gave immediate reactions to terror attacks in Turkey’s Istanbul (December 10th) and Kayseri (December 17th) with a strong support message and severe condemnation of bloodshed.
